Book Review: Sorcery of Thorns: Margaret Rogerson

Dear reader I just finished reading “Sorcery of Thorns” by Margaret Rogerson. I picked up this book in hardcover edition from my local Barnes and Noble because it seemed interesting. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I have to start this review off by saying that if you’re like me and you didn’t like “An Enchantment of Ravens” by the same author of this book please don’t let that stop you from giving this book a chance.

I personally feel like this story is a love letter so to speak to everyone who loves books, especially the women and girls who love to imagine themselves as the amazing heroine in the tale.

I love the main character, the atmospheric writing, and the love story angle of the book(Can I please find a love like theirs someday ❤). My favorite character by far is Silas, he stole my heart so many times.

Towards the end of the book the storyline gave me personally a lot of “Beauty and the Beast” re-telling vibes(I can’t really explain why without giving away major spoilers) so if that’s something that you enjoy I highly recommend giving this book a chance.

The only thing that I personally didn’t really understand or like was what the villain of the story was trying to do. Overall I personally rate this book an 8 and a half out of 10. Happy reading dear ☺. Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
