Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “The Romanov Empress” by C.W. Gortner. I picked up this book in paperback edition from my local Barnes and Noble store because I enjoyed reading the author’s previous books and because I enjoyed reading storylines related to the Romanovs. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Even though I knew what happend to the Romanovs beforehand the storyline even through until the end had me wanting to stay with the characters(so to speak). My heart broke for the family in so many different places.

I highly recommend reading this book if you enjoy historical fiction or if you just want an “inside take on what happened to the Romanovs. I personally rate this book an 8 and a half out of 10.  Happy reading dear reader ☺.
