Dear reader I couldn’t reading “Ella, The Slayer” book number one in the “Serenity House” series by A. W. Exley. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I personally enjoyed the main character even though I personally didn’t really understand a lot of her choices especially the ones she made at the end of the book in regards to her step-mother(I can’t really say more about it because of spoilers).

I enjoyed the romance(even though the twist regarding it felt way too convenient for my personal tastes). I also enjoyed the(in my personal opinion) later season “Downton Abby” like vibes of the setting/time period especially since I found it interesting to see how people in that time period could’ve dealt with Zombies.

I think the twists to “Cinderella” worked well within the framework of the time period. Overall I personally rate this book a 5 and half out of 10. I am going to pick up the book in series after I’ve posted this review because I want to see what happens with the characters especially “Alice”. Happy reading dear reader ☺.
