Book Review: Soul of the Sword: Julie Kagawa

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Soul of the Sword” book number two in the “Shadow of the Fox” trilogy by Julie Kagawa.

I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because I had to know what happens next with the characters. My personal review of the book is as follows:

The characters and their respective growth(in my personal opinion) in personal strength love both towards themselves as individuals and each other really had me pulling for them so much so that I almost cried at some point in the story. I definitely think it’s a strong continuation of the story arc as a whole.

The next half of the review might be a bit of a spoiler so be warned if you’re not caught up with the series yet. I personally really enjoyed how well both romantic plotlines were done in this book, both the beginning of one (that is LGBT related, sorry if this isn’t the right way to say it, I’m phrasing it that way to hopefully avoid a bigger spoiler) relationship/romantic feelings and the deepening of another relationship between the main characters. I am definitely rooting for both couples.

I can’t wait to see how everything ends. Overall I personally rate this book a 7 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader ☺. Please like and share this review if enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.

P.S. If you’re interested in possibly having me do a book review of your book please email me at or tweet me on Twitter @BookNerd0486 also if you’re interested in seeing the books I’m currently interested in/things I 💜 here’s my Amazon wishlist thanks to anyone who helps 💜
