Book Review: The Remnant: Charlie Fletcher

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “The Remnant” book #3 in “The Oversight” trilogy by Charlie Fletcher. I picked up this book in paperback edition from Barnes and Noble because I wanted to see how everything ends, my personal review of the book is as follows:

I personally feel that I would’ve felt more connected with the storyline and the emotional impacts of all of the different plot points ending if it could’ve been spilt up into one more book(to give more than a scene or two for things to sink in) baring that I wish that some of world building would’ve been left out (given that this book is the end of the trilogy) to make room for a more of the backstory of certain characters to be explained(I understand that a majority of them were and I might have missed the information on the character I was looking for) as well as more info on how certain characters made it out of certain situations at the end.

I still feel over all that the story arc of this book felt like the setting up to the end of the series and not the end. I have other thoughts on the ending and how it effects my personal thoughts on the series as a whole however I’m going to leave them out off the review for spoiler reasons.

Overall I personally rate this book a 4 out of 10 because of how much I liked the characters. Happy reading dear reader ☺. Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
