Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “A Symphony of Starlight” book #4 in the “Abby Sinclair” series by Allison Pang. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because I had to know what happens next with the characters, my personal review of the book is as follows:

It was really cool to be back in the world with the characters again(since it’s been a few years since the last book in the series was released), it did take me a bit to get reacquainted with the mechanics of how the world of the series works and what the dynamics between all of the characters were however once I did that the story did flow easier for me personally.

I did laugh at the majority of the pop culture references and how they(in my personal opinion) were weaved into the storyline(and sometimes into the mythology of the world) in a way that made sense and felt realistic to me.

I found the(in my personal opinion) growth of the romantic plotline for “Abby” to be sweet and realistic for the most part(certain things that the male love interests did felt occasionally a bit “too good to be true” for my personal tastes), her best friend’s relationship bothered me through(I can’t really explain why without giving away plot spoilers.

Overall the story arc of this book felt to me personally as if the author wanted to wrap up this half of the story arc(trying to phrase it in a way that avoids spoilers) and start the process of a new “branch” of the storyline which to me personally made certain plot points towards the end of book feel rushed and a bit too conveniently wrapped up(for the most part) for my personal tastes.

I am excited to see what happens next with the series whenever it’s next book is released. Overall I personally rate this book a 5 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊.
