Dear reader I just finished reading “The Stolen Lady” by Laura Morelli.I picked up this book from Amazon because the synopsis sounded interesting.
The story is a fictional account of both the making of the Mona Lisa and the moving of her before German’s invasion of France.
My personal review of the book is as follows:
I found myself being pulled into the “past”(Italian) and connecting more with those parts rather than the “Present day”(French parts”).
I didn’t really connect with Anne; I really admired her(and the others who saved the artwork).
I personally feel like so much personality could’ve been added to Anne(aside from caring about her family/her work and being reckless, I suppose that the same could be said for Lisa however her personal life showed her depth at least a little bit).
I personally rate this book a 4 out of 10. Happy reading dear reader😁.
If you enjoyed this review please give it a like and as always thank you for your support of me and my journey 💜.
