Book Review: Stateless: Meli Raine

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Stateless” book number one in the “Stateless” series by Meli Raine. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting and it was on sale for $1.99. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I want to start this review off adding a trigger warning for violence and rape.

The storyline it’s self(in my personal opinion) reminded me of an adult version of the “Divergent” series as far as the secret society, a bit of the power structure, and the need for the characters to control their respective emotions.

The characters as whole especially the main characters had me having to turn pages(so to speak) to find out what was going on. I personally felt on edge with them and had to stop reading a few times throughout because of the violence.

In my personal opinion the writer really knows how to pack a lot of depth and complexity within a few pages without it feeling as if things were left out for the sake of page count constraints as I’ve seen happen in some stories around 200 pages and under.

I definitely plan on downloading the next book in the series from the Nook store when I’ve finished posting this review.

Overall I personally rate this book an 8 and a half out of 10 and recommend checking it out if you’re a fan of thrillers with a romantic plotline and having to guess who’s really running the show right along side the characters.

Happy reading dear reader ☺ Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
