Note to reader: The following post is ONLY about me getting how I personally feel about this situation off of my chest. I am NOT trying to make anyone feel sorry for me. As always the ONLY person with disabilities that I am speaking for is myself.
Dear reader when I was at the movies with my dad and uncle Timmy last night my electric wheelchair stopped working (it’s been having this same issue for awhile now) thankfully my dad and uncle got it working again long enough to get me home.
However it was having the same issue when my dad turned it on this morning. I’m still in between insurance right now(I’m not going to get into all the reasons why right now) and I don’t have 30k(the cost of my chair when I was able to get it via my ex husband’s health insurance when we were still married) for a new one.
I found a company online that will come out to my house and fix it. I just paid the $225(from my own money) to get an appointment hopefully within the next few days to have a repair person come out and find out what’s wrong with it.
You have to prepay for the appointment before they give it to you. After that it’s $70 for the first hour of repair work and $17.50 per every 15 minutes of work afterwards plus costs of parts if necessary.
Please pray that it’s something easy to fix and that it won’t be too much more money. Without my wheelchair I am stuck home in bed.
I promise to keep you updated on everything as soon as I know anything new about the situation dear reader. Your support for me/my journey means everything to me 💜.
